Titan arum at Kew Gardens, 5.30pm, Sunday 22 April 2007
Finally it’s out! Just while my back was turned, and after defying my prediction that it would be today, it started opening at about 3pm. By 5.30pm (when this was taken) it was nearly fully out. Hopefully it will last through the day tomorrow.

It's very inconsiderate of those glasshouses to close at 5:30pm. :-) I saw it at about 3:15pm, but didn't have time to go back and take another look later.
