The Dated Vintage Photographs group on Flickr was set up in January 2011. The aim is to bring together all the vintage images with known dates (not estimates – at least the exact year must be known) and use these to create a photographic timeline of images on Flickr. At the time of writing, eight days after launch, the group has 132 members and 889 images, spanning from the 1840s to the cut-off in 1945.
